GPC
Heads East-Curvaceous is Granted a Japanese Patent
Curvaceous Software is pleased to announce the grant of
another patent in September 2008, this time by the Japan
Patent Office for the control of multi-variables
processes using a single Operating Envelope. The patent
application was first started in the UK in May 2002 and
in 2005 Curvaceous Software Ltd requested an examination
in Japan. The Japanese patents are known to take a
long-time to be granted, so for Curvaceous this is

Curvaceous is in the Final of British Computer Society
Awards (BCS) 2008
We are very pleased to share
the good news of being selected as a Finalist in the BCS IT
Industry Awards 2008 - Project Excellence in the category BT
Flagship for Innovation. Curvaceous will attend a Judging
panel on October 3rd, 2008. As a result of this judging a
winner and two medallists in each category will be selected
and announced at the black-tie gala
Awards dinner on the evening of Thursday 4th December at The
Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

NEW CRSV Launch on September 1st 2008
The new
CRSV Version 2.0 will be shipped on the 1st of September
2008. Curvaceous Response Surface Visualiser provides a
completely new approach to working with Response Surfaces.
Unlike traditional visualisation techniques it is not bound
by the third dimension thus allowing multiple variables to
be visualised and analysed. The new version allows you to
see design space and multiple control spaces at once, to
handle a lot more variables than before, improves data file
handling and variable naming, is a lot more intuitive and
requires much less instruction and comes with a completely
new rewritten user guide containing worked examples for the
right set of data.

in the final of Strategic Manufacturing Awards 2008
We are
pleased to announce that our application for the Strategic
Manufacturing Awards 2008 has been put through to the final.
Curvaceous is currently among 8 companies out of over a 100
applicants who went through to the next round. Taking place
on Wednesday 8th October 2008, Europe’s manufacturing
community will be rewarded for best practice at the
inaugural Strategic Manufacturing Awards. With winners
determined by an independent and world-class judging panel,
the ceremony will reward the region’s foremost enterprises
for best practice and celebrate manufacturing excellence
across vital disciplines including energy management, skills
in manufacturing and IT in manufacturing over the past
twelve months.
NEW US Agent
Curvaceous
Software has appointed Coherent Technologies Inc., an
engineering consulting firm specializing in the design and
configuration of control and enterprise-wide information
systems for industrial facilities, as its new US Agent.
Timothy Triplett, the founder of the company, who has over
15 years of engineering experience and 20 years of
developing, commissioning and support DCS systems, PLC
systems MES, SCADA and Plant Historians, is going to be
another representative of GPC Technology in the US along
with existing Curvaceous agent Cayuga Partners.
